HAVE A HEART
People who lack feeling for others are like cold fronts on the weather map in winter; you'd rather see them going than coming. An example is the homeowner who treats the paperboy like the neighborhood pest. He acts as if the youngster where behind the bad news that lands on his porch day after day. I'm not saying that sometimes there isn't cause for frustration. There may be legitimate reasons for dissatisfaction with his service. But being unkind to those who are weaker or in a lower socioeconomic position is never right.
God made this very clear to ancient Israel when He told them to treat those of lesser social rank as they themselves would want to be treated. He reminded His chosen people that because they had once been strangers in a foreign land, they should know how it feels to work under those who show no sympathy (Exodus 22:21).
Christians have the same responsibility to the poor and downtrodden as Israel had. We may argue that if we don't look out for ourselves no one else will. But God has told us to love our neighbors. He also reminds us that if we forget what it's like to be on the bottom we are no longer fit to be on top.

THE YOUTH NEWS--------
CAN you believe October is gone? We
just had our first cold front and it was
wonderful.
Speaking of wonderful; we had our
first Crave talent show. It was another great show. We had over 40 teens participate, in the show, and close to 200 people in attendance.
The talent show brought us singing, skits, comedy, and a very emotional monologue. Of course, the crowd favorite was "men in white shirts." Their hilarious skits brought down the house.
Well, the Cave Car and Bike Show will be here on November 14. Preparations are being made for what promises to be a fantastic show and an enormous opportunity for us to truly reach out to our community with the love of Christ.
Be sure and bring your friends and come.
On behalf of the youth department; I would like to thank our church for their prayers and support.
REMEMBER: CRAVE IS ON WEDNESDAY 7-8 P.M. AND FRIDAY 7-9 P.M.

SOME GOOD LIGHT READING
There is a good book that I was able to ordered from Word Publishing , The title is "In the Eye of The Storm" by Max Lucado. It is a very interesting book and I recommend it for your reading. It is timely and will cause you to think. Get it and read it.

One At A Time
A friend of ours was walking down a deserted Mexican beach at sunset. As he walked along, he began to see another man in the distance. As he grew nearer, he noticed that the local native kept leaning down, picking something up and throwing it out into the water. Time and again he kept hurling things out into the ocean.
As our friend approached even closer, he noticed that the man was picking up starfish that had been washed up on the beach and, one at a time, he was throwing them back into the water.
Our friend was puzzled. He approached the man and said, "Good evening, friend. I was wondering what you are doing."
"I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, it's low tide right now and all of these starfish have been washing up on the shore. If I don't throw them back into the sea they'll die up here for lack of oxygen."
"I understand," my friend replied, "but there must be thousands of starfish on this beach. You can't possibly get to all of them. There are simply too many. And don't you realize this is probably happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast. Can't you see that you can't possibly make a difference?"
The local native smiled, bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and as he threw it back into the sea, he replied, "Made a difference to that one!"
As a Christian you can make a difference; one at a time..

PASTOR'S CORNER
Fall has finally arrived in South Florida. There seem
to be a "small" difference noted in the air. Since
October we have been inundated with things of
Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can remember when Christmas was never mention until after Thanksgiving. Well, in retrospect, we may be on to something. We are thankful for Christmas. I know that my grandchildren, my wife, and business people are thankful for Christmas. Oh, yes! I have already gone through the "Toys-R-Us" catalogue and picked out what I want.
The choir is working very hard, under the direction of Bro. Caves, to be ready for the church's Christmas Cantata. There will be two opportunities to enjoy the Cantata; Saturday evening and Sunday evening.
We still have several "Christmas Boxes" to prepare to reach our goal. We sent out over 200 last year; let do better this year. Remember the children this Christmas.
Sunday morning has been a great time for me and I trust for you.To teach the basic teaching of the Bible has been very enjoyable. This Sunday our missionary to Middle East will be speaking. I know that you will enjoy the lesson that He will be giving. Come and bring your friends.
