Who we are...
We are a group of people committed to loving God and loving our neighbors. Our goal is to let everyone in our communities know the kind of life available to a person who commits his or her life to following Jesus Christ. We consider ourselves a family, not an organization. We consider Christianity a way of life, not a religion. We consider our buildings and property a place where the church meets, not the church itself. We consider the church a spiritual entity, not a man-made institution. We hope that the following paragraphs and links will shed some light on who we are, what we believe, and what we hope to accomplish.
What we believe...
We believe that the Bible is true. The Bible describes the existence of a perfect God and the reality of an imperfect man. The two are not compatible except by the provision of God Himself. This provision is God's Son, Jesus Christ. This Jesus was the appearance of God on earth and according to the Bible was killed, buried, and then rose from the dead. He did this in order for us to be able to relate to God once again. We mention what we believe first, because what God has already done through Jesus Christ is what motivates us to do the things we believe He wants us to do in our community. We are not trying to earn our way into heaven. We simply act in appreciation for what God has already done for us. What we do...
We study the Scriptures and worship God. We designate Sundays to do this as a group even though we encourage individual study and worship every day of the week. We equip our children and teenagers with the ability to make wise choices by encouraging them to memorize Scripture, love God, and develop friendships with each other. We involve ourselves in activities that we hope will make our community a better place to live.
